Sound Healing FAQ’s

WHY SOUND HEALING?

Sound healing is one of the No. 1 ways to

  • Get out of your head (mind chatter) and into your body

  • Peacefully BE in the present moment

  • Increase flow and creativity

  • Feel aligned with your soul, divine power, and community

  • Heighten intuition

  • Lay the foundation for greater healing

Sound Bath Brain Waves

The magic of a sound bath is that people have the ability to move into Alpha or Theta brain wave states. There, the music and vibrations are tapped directly into your subconscious, putting you in a rest and digest state where physical, emotional, and spiritual rejuvenation occur at quantum levels.

Who is sound healing for?

It’s great for nearly everyone!
(Except for people who currently have thrombosis, hypotension, or are in their first trimester of pregnancy. Love you, mean it, see you in 90 days.)

Sound baths can even be enjoyed by the hard of hearing.
The healing is caused by the actual vibrations from the instruments which can be felt. Think about how sound waves affect water. Since around 60% of the human body is water, you can imagine how the targeted use of sound inspires healing and revitalization in the human body.

Play the video below and feel the effects from just 1 minute of sound and song.

What happens during a Sound Bath?

Unless in a one-on-one (and even then) people experiencing a Sound Bath usually look like the photo below.

Alternately, every sound bath attendee is encouraged to enjoy their experience in whatever position they find comfortable. Sound healing meets you where you are at. There’s no wrong way to do it.

  • Sound Baths can be short (15 - 20 minutes) or they can be long (40 min to an hour.)

  • They can also come after something like a yoga practice, or be part of a workshop with journaling.

  • They can be as straightforward as an experience where you come in, lay down, and enjoy. Then, go on your merry way rejuvenated, often after experiencing the equivalent of getting hours of sleep.

When I lead sound baths, I play crystal bowls and often sing or lead a guided meditation. I also have Himalayan bowls, drums, shakers, chimes, and more.

MORE Sound healing science

There is so much more to sound healing including

  • How your oxygen levels improve,

  • What good hormones and chemicals are released,

  • and how participants often find themselves in a rest and digest, parasympathetic nervous system dominant state.

I would love to talk to you about all of it during a session.
